https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/32077380 Strong Lab is updated with a new section; paper of the month. My first three are up.

Gather round everyone, Strong Labs new paper of the month is live!!!!
I really like the first one. A systematic review that looks at the question, does exercise order matter? Yes if you want to get strong, no if you want to get swole. Do those squats first boys and girls! (and maybe do your squats and deads on different days too). I also think it really supports a variable program like those of Chad Wesley Smith of Juggernaut Training Systems or Louie Simmons of Westside Barbell. Basically you get the biggest strength gains in the lift you do first. So it might be a good idea to vary your heavy multi joint compound lifts order in your program, rather than just squat/bench/deadlift every session like in starting strength.

to read all the papers, find out why I have a good reason to hate foam rolling and that going for a run does trash your legs before your squat session!
