Whilst I'm all about martial arts my other area of expertise is the growing field of evidence based strength and conditioning training.
I was trained as a strength and conditoining coach at St Mary's University under an evidence based program with an excellent team of instructors (one rugby player/coach for Harelquins and one St Mary's academic).
I teach the main barbell lifts (squat, deadlift, press and bench) for strength, the olympic lifts (although so what I say not what I do on the snatch!) for power and use strongman movements as accessories and for conditioning (evidence for this from the Rugby literature).
